Build It Once, Update It Forever, No Subscription

Resume For Actors costs ten dollars, once. That buys unlimited edits and unlimited exports, forever. There is no renewal and no export fee.

Why not a subscription

Because a resume builder is used in bursts. You build one, you use it for eight months, you update it when something changes, and then you forget it exists until you need it again.

The subscription model handles that pattern badly for the customer and suspiciously well for the vendor. The revenue comes disproportionately from people who signed up, exported one PDF, and forgot to cancel. We are not interested in a product whose economics depend on that.

Why not free

Because a tool with no revenue is a tool that gets abandoned. There is a graveyard of free actor resume builders that worked in 2019 and now produce broken files or have vanished with the resumes in them.

Ten dollars is enough to keep it maintained and small enough not to be a decision. It is roughly a coffee and considerably less than one headshot print run.

What lifetime actually means

You can log back in in three years, change a credit, and export a new PDF at no cost. If we ever cannot honor that, we will make the resumes exportable and say so plainly rather than quietly changing terms.

What it does not include

A website. That is a separate free product, and there is a real free tier: you can create an actor website without paying anything at all. The paid plans exist for people who want their own domain and the premium designs, and the resume builder is nothing to do with either.

The honest recommendation

If you already have a website with us, you may not need this. Your site builds a resume from your credits and training automatically, as covered in the resume page type. Buy the builder if you want fine control of the printed layout, or if you do not want a website yet.

What matters more than which tool you use is that the resume is current, one page, and has an email on it that you check. Our guide to building an acting resume covers the content itself.
